An interesting chair by Jake Phipps. As beautiful as the wood is I wonder if this might be better as roto-molded recycled HDPE instead of using old growth lumber. 3form is getting Corian like finish with the stuff and I think this form would be beautiful in a satin white as well.

  3. I think on these roads I’d be happy for a mountain top finish…I can’t imagine the carnage that would occur if the peloton was to descend this road.

  5. Decompose Plastic Bags in Three Months

    via WIRED

By now many of you have probably seen this. Kudos to Daniel Burd for figuring out how to get rid of a large portion of our waste in a much more manageable time frame. Unfortunately I’m not bringing this up to sing praise, I’m bringing it up as a warning/reminder. Just because we can now [potentially] get rid of plastic bags in 3 months doesn’t mean that all bets are off and we can use them freely.

That is all, you may now continue with your day.

Ultimately for me, a bit of a disappointing exhibit…it had its ups though. For one the number of people that turned out for the opening is fantastic. Other highlights, well….you’ll find them bellow.
of course we had to stop for some icecream on the way. [the Ben & Jerry’s cookie Luca is holding…delicious]inside the Form Design Centre
This project overall brand of the aeropress. Check out the original [be ready to shield your eyes] I thought the web mock-up technique is interesting as well.

Susi’s sadle project is just stunning. Its a modular system to change saddle type, and what horse its fitted to.
